ALL METAL GATE VALVE X-UHV

The CEO of VSE VacuumTechnology, Hubert Bösch, is the senior protagonist of know-how in Allmetal technology around the world. Decades ago he invented the yesterday's state of the art in this field, made by VAT, the so-called Series 47, 48, 54, and 57.

HIGHLIGHTS

This Gate Valve in Allmetal technology is newly developed. Two issues are important for design of such a valve:

• The sealing partners must be able to take a strong load, they must be manufactured in an extreme precisely manner,
• the mechanism must be able to takd a strong load.

These two problems have been solved.

The valve can be made in sizes 16, 35/40, 63, 80, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250.

This valve can be made as a standard gate valve or as a gate valve with RF feedthrough in the open position. The RF feedthrough can be made with thin sheet in stainless steel or in a crest design. It can be in a circled orifice or in any RF shape, given by the customer.

The valve is heatable up to 300°C in open and in closed position. Its lifetime is 20 000 cycles until first service.

Metal only is used in vacuum. The standard actuator contains O-rings, but other actuators can be designed.

HOW IT WORKS

This Gate valve uses two great ideas. Here can be seen the core parts of the All Metal Gate Valve:

Valve plate, Sealring, Outer ring (part of the housing). All three are made in stainless steel, the Sealring is equipped with a silver layer.
